Alexander Bogomazov

Alexander Bogomazov was a Ukrainian painter and art theoretician of the Russian Avant-garde. In 1914, Alexander wrote his treatise The Art of Painting and the Elements.

Attended the Institute for Agriculture in Kherson
1902–1905
Attended the Kiev Art School (KKHU), at the same time he had close contact with Alexander Archipenko and Aleksandra Ekster
1905
Participated in political demonstrations and strikes and was expelled from the Kiev Art School
1906
Studied in the studio of S. Swiatoslavskiy and exhibited in Kiev, together with Archipenko
1906
Moved to Moscow and became the student of Fyodor Rerberg and Konstantin Yuon
1907
Returned to Kiev
1930
Died in Kiev, Ukraine
