Yuko Shiraishi: Assemble and Disperse

3 May - 2 June 2001

Yuko Shiraishi is one of the most sensitive painters working in Britain today, exploring pure colour and its full range of mood provoking relationships.  Her exhibition will consist of three different parts.

The rear space of the gallery will be transformed into an installation room.  Entitled "Assemble - Disperse" and made up of 24 works (see detail above and catalogue), each painting whether large or small, thick or thin, textured or plain, works independently and as a whole.

The main gallery space will show her latest individual paintings.

The small room adjoining the main gallery will be used as a project space showing models, drawings and plans for Field Museum Hombroich (FMH) in Neuss, Germany.
