This was one of three works enlarged in Portugal by Antonio Duarte, under Gabo’s supervision, between 1963 and 1965. The three works were delivered to Gabo in early spring 1965, and subsequently sent for exhibition in Europe (receipt, Cohen and Powell, 20 Jan 1965; letter M. Gabo to R. Duarte, 26 Mar 1965). According to Miriam Gabo, although 74.2 was entered in the catalogues for the European touring exhibition of 1965-6, it was only shown in London.
