Annely Juda Fine Art is pleased to announce Yuko Shiraishi's participation in What is Now, a major group exhibition marking the 30th anniversary of Raketenstation Hombroich, part of Stiftung Insel Hombroich near Neuss, Germany
Shortly after Karl-Heinrich Müller acquired the former NATO missile base in Hombroich, the first apartments and studios were occupied in the former military buildings at the end of 1994. A diverse range of activity in music, literature, visual art, and architecture soon developed on the site, and the founding gesture of dialogue and hospitality continues to shape a lively artistic exchange there today. To mark the foundation's anniversary, the artists living and working at the former missile base offer insight into their own practices and invite visitors to join them.
Shiraishi has developed the Field Institute Hombroich (FIH) project since 2000 together with fellow artists Tadashi Kawamata and Katsuhito Nishikawa. Her new work Songlines (2026), in LED and acrylic, is shown as part of the exhibition.
