I was feeling very fragile while making this work. I created it during the weeks I had a biopsy and awaited the results. It is a piece that went through a few iterations before becoming its final form.
The title is taken from a box of off cuts of silk I have been generously given by my sister-in-law, from the family house she was clearing out in the Jura region of France earlier this year. I had driven out to rescue some horsehair mattresses.
